En la fachada de la Universidad Nacional de Trujillo, Perú, Rafael Hastings, peruano, ha creado el mural más largo de América, mide un kilómetro.  Lo nomino MURAL DE LA HUMANIDAD, mosaico gigante. Es un exquisito figurativo, que muestra escenas de la historia universal, zonas arqueológicas, Chan Chan, hombres, mujeres, aves, mares, ríos, volcanes y huracanes. Paisajes de bosques y edificios. Una obra en mosaicos pequeños, un cm por lado, que según expresa Rafael Hastings, costó 18 años plasmar. Entre la idea, concepción, inicio y culminación, ha pasado una vida y se ha realizado un sueño de cientos de amantes del arte.
