Podium Beverley McLachlin, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada, delivered a speech to the Canadian Club of Toronto, on June 1st, 2010. In her address, McLachlin reflected on her career and examined the importance of the rule of law and access to justice. Following her speech, McLachlin was presented with the Canadian Club of Toronto’s Canadian of the Year 2010 Award. The Canadian of the Year Award is presented to individuals who have improved the lives of others and benefited us as a nation.
