VIRGINIA BEACH — Thousands of Virginia Beach students will use iPads next year. Virginia Beach on Tuesday approved spending $650,980 to buy 1,210 of them.  The money was moved from the current year’s operating budget money to a technology fund. "We designate dollars to ensure students have access to current technologies," Eileen Cox wrote.
