Jean-Claude Piot, Cita Production says if you’re by the side of the road and a lorry goes past, a few seconds later you'll feel a movement of air. That's what the windmill uses to generate electricity. The idea is being tested with this model installed near a service station. For now, it's not picking much up but designers say that can be solved by moving it closer to the road and increasing the size of the blades. The target is to produce over ten kilowatts an hour enough to power roadside equipment.
