*Summery* *Lexie’s POV (Point of view)* "Whew! Its sooo hot out today!" I said as I took my English homework out of my backpack and fanned myself. The Florida heat was intense today. "I know, right?" my friend Jennifer said. We'd been friends since the 3rd grade. We're were so close! I beamed at her while she pulled her blonde hair back into a ponytail. She was so pretty. I stopped fanning myself and sighed. She broke the silence between us by asking "You wanna go to the beach later?" I immediately said yes and started walking faster. I loved the beach and everything about it! Surfing, fish, sea shells. Mmm! I could almost smell the salty air right now. Jenny lived next door to me. We did everything together! I ran inside and bumped into my big brother Rick. "Hey! Watch out, Lex!" he said and wen't outside, closing the front door behind him. He was probably going to go on a date tonight with his new girlfriend, Leslie, and was nervous. I giggled and ran upstairs to my bedroom. I quickly grabbed a duffel bag and stuffed a towel, some sunscreen, my iPhone and some other items in and changed into my bikini. I didn't bother with a swimming suit cover because girls in Florida are always going around in their swim suits. I finished changing and ran down the stairs. "Hey Mom!
