GOVERNMENT CAMP — Travel conditions over U.S. were treacherous Monday as a blizzard was expected to dump as much as three feet of snow in the northern Oregon Cascades. Ski areas reported poor conditions, both for visibility, and in the case of Mount Hood Meadows, perhaps too much snow. KGW meteorologist Nick Allard said simply, "it’s nasty up there."
