So we are told that everyone has their stories to tell about getting around South America, brace yourself for here is our favourite so far. From our last entry you may recall that the prospect of a 23 hour bus journey wasnt fazing us, being the hardy sorts that we are. We are fools...big fools with feet the size of footballs who endured a 25 hour ´ride from hell` (the feet have now gone back to normal size, in case anyone was worried!). We are now wise to the ways of the ´Pluma´ travel company, they are clearly an evil enterprise and quite possibly a front for the new world order! My personal favourite moment was when we BROKE DOWN 2 hours into the trip, we had to wait 2 hours for a new bus to get sent out during which time i managed to sit on an ants nest and we stood from this point. We enjoyed a high spirited game of 20 questions and argued over who knew how to play the i spy game properly, Andrea was insisting on some drivel called ´Ich sehe was was du nicht siehst` in which the colur of the object in question is involved, sometimes I long for the empire. Back to the bus journey, we had the best seats on the whole bus, behind the incredible reclining boy and next to some twinkly eyed Irish pilgrim ( sorry Bonnie, by the way the travel sink-plug is possibly the best invention ...
