This last clip of the Maniacs gives you a bit more perspective on how the boys handled their Plaza Gardens Show. Lasting over eight minutes the boys start out with an old routine Doug learned when auditioning for the Spike Jones Jr. band back in the 1970s called 'The History of Music'. From here the seque into Spike Jones Senior’s version of 'Cocktails For Two' is seamless. This leads to 'Baby Face' which runs into a HOT, and very funny, 'Limehouse Blues' (special consideratiion should be given to the delicate interplay between John's sexello and Charlie's Bass Saxophone during one of the choruses of 'Limehouse Blues'). What is really interesting about this clip is the ability to witness the choreography displayed by the boys in handling microphones, positioning of band members and the changing of instruments all done with complete percision. The intent, of course, was to make sure that the show never slow down until the ending note. Edited by Doug Mattocks
