Jennifer Angus - Diary of a Mad Scientist and Obsessive Insect Collector This exhibit runs until Sept. 6. You should give the Gallery a visit. Here is their website: www.artsudbury.org I visited the Sudbury Art Gallery’s latest exhibition. Jennifer has had 100s of a variety of insects collected for her and displayed them here in the form of a wallpaper motif using small pins. Some of the insects have been severed and attached/grafted onto the bodies of other insects. They are all REAL insects. Mostly from Brazillian jungles. You may not get a sense for the size of them. Some of them, including wing span, are approx. half the length of my arm. She has also arranged the insects into anthropomorphic settings; a church, a house, etc. She seems to have attached the heads to mini-human dolls, and also given them insect arms and mandibles.
