See this TripWow and more at tripwow.tripadvisor.com Spain in 5 days The Story A friend of ours from Australia, Zonth, was skiing in Italy, and when he said he had five days spare, we all quickly bought some tickets from RyanAir, to meet in Spain as he had never been there Girona Lucy and I flew in and had a look around the old part of town as we had hours before Zonth arrived. Like most places in Europe, the new city was ****, but the old city was amazing. Very old, and very amazing. Cathedral was good and then it was time to meet up. We grabbed Zonth, and went for dinner, Rioja, before retiring for the night Tarragona We drove south to Taragonna as it was the old Roman capital of Spain, so it was there to be seen. We parked the car, grabbed a room, and then hit it hard. The Amphitheatre was good, the old hippodrome area was huge, including the towers that were still upright. One of the towers was covered in chicken wire, to stop pigeons from nesting, and it had managed to catch six of them, which were then left to slowly decay away. A few more ruins before we had a couple bottles of Rioja again for dinner Zaragoza A colleague at work, Maxi, who is from Spain had stated that Zaragoza is a good place to visit.
