She is SUCH A STAR!!! She just turned 2 in may so is still pretty young :) She should grow to be over 15hh so yes she’s very small and under muscled right now. My tiny saddle was actually too big for her. She had catching problems when I got her, no ground training, and refused to have her back feet picked up, and within one week, she now: -is easy to catch, even walks up to you -puts her nose right in the halter -starts walking AS SOON as the 'handler' walks either backwards OR forwards, and mirrors your feet -ground ties -can be lead with no rope -picks up all feet easily -doesn't spook at anything! -goes into a trot while leading when you lift your knees higher -whoas from voice command and now...... -can be saddled like a pro -have a rider on her back! I LOVE watching her face as soon as she figures out what I'm asking of her, you can just see the light bulb click in her mind :) I've sent so much time with her now just finger combing her hair while she falls asleep and starts snoring, she is soooo sweet! All of the pics of her bucking were AFTER I saddled her, walked and trotted her around, and got on. I asked her to walk forward while holding the lunge whip.. the one thing she's scared of... hmmm... and she took off and probably forgot the saddle was there? lol It was her first time running with a saddle so she just started going :) She only did it till she was across the arena and stopped, then was an angel the rest of the day :) Those shots were sooooo zoomed out ...
