iReport — This is the second of three videos compiled from footage I shot on Friday 21st May around the largely deserted Rajprasong Intersection in the heart of Bangkok. Nestling between Siam Paragon and the now gutted Central World lies Wat Pathum Wanaram, a 'safe haven' which housed around 800 protesters, mostly women, children and the elderly for several days when the government clamped down on the Rajprasong site. Six bodies were brought out from the temple on Thursday 20th, victims of yet more mysterious shooting requiring investigation. The tranquility of the temple grounds yesterday made it hard to believe what had happened there. A strong breeze stirred the tall trees and swept plastic bags and loose papers tumbling across the traffic-free lanes of the usually hectic Rama 1 Road. It was an eerie walk through the strewn fall-out from the Red Shirts' grip on Rajprasong. Increasingly loud was the constant hammering of metal fences being erected  to secure the devasted area for reconstruction. The only two remaining occupants of the street encampment were two bedraggled dogs lying among the abandoned possessions. The background music playing through the large speakers was soon vying for dominance with the hammering, and every now and again their rhythms managed to converge. By the time I reached Ratchadamri Road where white smoke was still billowing from Central World and Zen, the music seemed to almost transform the scene into a surreal movie clip, making the truth of the situation even more tragic.
