We were in luck, and booked in here for a few nights. We had a brief stop at the Visitor's Center, in which there was a very interesting Aboriginal museum. That afternoon Joel thought he 'smelt' rain, and he was right. It was the first rain we had seen for awhile, but as it was fairly light and warm, we decided to go for a walk along the edge of the gorge. On the way back home, it did start to get a little heavier, and we were a little bit wet by the time we arrived back. The night was spent in the van, drying off and watching movies, while listening to the heavy rain continuing outside. We sure were glad that we weren't stuck in a swag like our neighbours! The next morning there was no sign of rain and the sky was crystal blue. There are two main areas in Karijini, Dales recreation area and Weano recreation area. We decided to hit Weano recreation area today, so with a packed lunch and plenty of water, we travelled along the rough, red road to Weano recreation area. There were a few different walks to do here, and because we wanted to stop at a couple of gorges on the way home, we didn't have time to do them all, so we decided on Hancock Gorge and Handrail Pool.
