Dieses Studentenfilmprojekt aus dem Frühjahr 2009 (eingereicht als Abschlussarbeit an dem Publizistikinstitut Wien) führt mit fiktiven und dokumentarischen Stilmitteln die Thematik der Umstände und Konsequenzen des Stalkings ein und zeigt darauf die Möglichkeiten eines potentiellen Opfers, mittels eines Selbstverteidigungskurses adäquat auf derartige Situationen zu reagieren.  Auf Grund der großen positiven Resonanz von Seiten der Zuschauer und Schatzl-Fangemeinde ist "Der sanfte Weg" zugleich auch der Auftakt der Schatzl-Trilogie! Der zweite Teil der Trilogie: "Der saubere Weg" (aka Mungos-Lehrlingsfilm) wurde im Herbst 2009 fertig gestellt und demnächst auf youtube verfügbar.
