A man of many interests and accomplishments, Karim from 1988 to 1994 ran Atlantis Advertising, a New York City based advertising company which specialized in developing print advertising for fashion companies on New York’s Seventh Avenue. At the dawn of the Internet age, Karim in 1994 founded one of the earliest online shopping portals, Cyberspaced.com. From 1997 to 2001 ran Synergic Investment Management, an offshore boutique hedge fund that was an early investor in many young Internet companies which today are household names...companies like Yahoo, Ebay and Amazon...and he also invested in many others which imploded during the dot-com bust...Karim took an early retirement and with his family moved to Toronto, Canada...In 2005, the lure of living in California brought him to San Diego where about 2 years ago he came out of a short lived retirement to build SafeList.com
