Just a Week #3 vimeo.com/?channels/?jaw Extremely catchy piece that I don’t do much justice to here. There are a few good moments but I think I found my difficulty limit for one week of after dinner practice. This piece was the first of a series of "classical" compositions by Villa-Lobos written in the style of the traditional Brazilian Chôros. They are written for many different instruments and ensembles. See the links below for more information. I will probably not do another video for at least a week or two. I have been commissioned to write some film music and I just broke the nail on my index finger. Any suggestions for the next piece would be welcome. Piece: Chôro No. 1 for guitar (1920) Composer: Heitor Villa-Lobos (1887-1959) Edition: Max Eschig Guitar: Alfredo Velazquez (2005) Links: en.wikipedia.org/?wiki/?Heitor_Villa-Lobos en.wikipedia.org/?wiki/?List_of_compositions_by_Heitor_Villa-Lobos en.wikipedia.org/?wiki/?Ch%C3%B4ros
