This video was created for the 2010 25@25 Contest that celebrated the Foundation’s 25th Anniversary by asking young Canadians what they think matters most for Canada's future with Asia. Joanna Wong believes that Canada’s greatest resource is its people, as significant numbers of people of Asian origin immigrate to Canada and over 600,000 Canadians live in Asia. The human connection can help Canada foster innovation and development, as demonstrated by the increased political and economic ties that have resulted from people movements. Canada must tap into the potential of all Canadians with ties to Asia and inspire them to promote these relationships and develop new opportunities for collaboration.
