deep into margalla hills, making the back ground and sky line of islamabad, there are many hiking and tracking trails. one less frequented and lonesome , but really amazing one is called Trail 5. Its beauty is at its peak in the spring and summer season. if you follow regular tracks, a small ravine runs parallel, crossed by some fountains at some points. there are some water falls to be discovered, if you brave one of the craggy paths and ascend along the water lines coming down the hills. these often hidden natural beauties offer challenging climbs, often you find yourself walled up. But the beauty and peace of these wooden and rocky vaults is worth the fatigue and risk....enjoy a part of an ascend up along a water line, only thing that we miss is water, this being dry season. In summer when there is lot of water, it is advisable that if one tries the hike, one must be careful about various species of dangerous snakes,( margalla means a snake gorge or pass) which, after waking up from hybernation, are often found resting on these damp and cool places, or nested among thickets and crags, waiting for prey.....be careful... i, ajmal, tried this amazing hike with two friends, rizwan and zain. i am the one with black back-pack, zain has blue and rizwan did the filmaking job and the man behind the camera is rizwan,,
