 V okviru inavguracijskega predavanja za rednega profesorja bo predstavljeniih nekaj pogledov na naravno, umetno in inženirsko inteligenco s kratko analizo teorij in dosežkov predavatelja. Najprej bodo predstavljeni nekateri koncepti naravne inteligence, pomembni za razumevanje pojava in posredno za izdelovanje bolj inteligentnih racunalniških sistemov. Omenjena bodo tudi nekatera nova spoznanja, ki pomembno dograjujejo najboljše vedenje izpred nekaj let, npr. to, da je vsak nevron zase "mali" racunalnik, kar pomeni, da so možgani še bistveno bolj zapleteni. Inženirska inteligenca je blizu izraza "inteligentni sistemi" in se locuje od umetne inteligence po tem, da je orientirana bolj produktno, ne toliko v smeri novih akademskih odkritij. Kje je locnica? Zakaj ni vec UI v redni uporabi? Pri analizi umetne inteligence oz. inteligentnih sistemov bo predstavitev posvecena vprašanju relevantnosti - kako lahko s temi tehnikami izboljšamo znanje in obnašanje ljudi od pokojninske reforme dalje. Predstavljeni bodo nekateri konkretni projekti in objave, vecinoma narejene v Odseku za inteligentne sisteme, npr. Confidence, Civabis in PDR.
