June 11: The U.S. Airways passenger jet that made a miraculous emergency landing on New York’s Hudson River in January 2009 after a flock of birds fouled up its left engine during takeoff has finally reached its original destination. The plane designated Flight 1549 made the 600-mile trek to a museum in Charlotte N.C., its original destination city, aboard a flat-bed truck.
