U.S Ambassador to Nepal Scott H. DeLisi met NC President Sushil Koirala Tuesday morning and queried how the integration and rehabilitation of the Maoist combatants currently kept in UN monitored cantonments and the monitoring of their weapons will be carried after UNMIN leaves Nepal with the expiry of its term in January 15, 2011.During the meeting that took place at Koirala’s residence in Maharajgunj, DeLisi is learnt to have stressed on the need for the parties to end the ongoing political deadlock at the earliest to ensure peace and constitution. In response, Koirala said that after the United Nations Security Council decided not to extend UNMIN's term after its expiry, the political parties have agreed that the Army Integration Special Committee (AISC) headed by Prime Minister will finish the task that remains in integration of Maoist combatants into the state security apparatus and their rehabilitation
