See this TripWow and more at tripwow.tripadvisor.com Sunny Sunday in Vincennes "Today we had planned on visiting the Agricultural Fair of Paris, a huge fair in one of the large expo centers on the edge of town. Our friends had raved about all the regional foods and wines available for tasting and buying and how much fun it was, and we were to meet up with them in the Cognac lounge. But, honestly, it was such a gorgeous day that the vote was to do something outdoors. We decided instead to visit the Chateau of Vincennes, the medieval fortress we’d visited with Abby last year when the keep (the dungeon) was under restoration. Seth hadn't seen the chateau but was ready with his history lessons on Charles V to enrich our experience. I was in no shape to climb the highest keep in France, so Abby and Seth took a tour while we stayed below watching for them at various heights. When they poked their heads out of one of the towers of the keep and waved to us, I couldn't help but remember Abby's vocal solo in first grade. I could easily picture her dressed in her pink satin medieval gown that I had stayed up all night to sew, with her tall pink pointed hat, poking her head out of a papier mache tower singing "Sweet Drummer Boy."
