The collections of Museum of the Red River are particularly strong in regional archaeological materials, historic and modern Plains Indians garments, Southwestern Pueblo ceramics and Precolumbian Middle and South American artifacts. The museum also displays the reconstructed skeleton of the dinosaur, Acrocanthosaurus atokensis, discovered in McCurtain County 12 miles from the museum, check the web site for pictures of the dinosaur.
