We are here at the Blip.tv news event and demo of the new web site, Mike Hudack, CEO and co-founder, said that producers on Blip.tv can syndicate videos directly to YouTube with Blip.tv managing advertising sales of these syndicated shows. While Blip.tv has offered content creators the opportunity to syndicate to number of sites, this is the first time it is integrated with YouTube. Meaning, producers can publish directly to YouTube. Blip.tv sales executives can now sell ads into the shows and split the revenue with a revenue share. Presumably Blip.tv can sell certain shows at a higher advertsing rate normally sold by YouTube.Blip.tv is also now uploading to Vimeo.Here is the press release. The company also announced a syndication deal with NBC Local, the new network of 10 super regional web sites. Also, Blip.tv will be integrated into with Roku, the device that converts Web video to television sets.More to come, here’s the story on TechCrunch.
