BELLS BEACH, Victoria/Australia (Saturday, April 23, 2011) — The Rip Curl Women’s Pro Bells Beach presented by Ford Fiesta, the second stop on the 2011 ASP Women's World Title season, is underway in the clean three foot (1 metre) waves steaming through the Bells Bowl. The 2011 Rip Curl Womens Pro Bells Champion could possibly be crowned today with an official decision at around 11am this morning. Four surfers advanced though this morning action to join Silvana Lima (BRZ), world no.1 Carissa Moore (Haw), reigning four time world champion Stephanie Gilmore (Aus) and Coco Ho (Haw) in the quarterfinals. Sofia Mulanovich (Peru), tour rookie Courtney Conlogue (USA)....all keep their hopes alive of ringing the famed Bell. The Men's non-elimination round four will also be staged today. When men's competition resumes, up first will be Owen Wright (AUS), 21, Adriano de Souza (BRA), 24, and Joel Parkinson (AUS), 30, in the opening heat of the Round 4. The Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach presented by FORD will be webcast via www.live.ripcurl.com and broadcast live on Fuel TV in Australia and ESPN in Brazil.
