For seven years, an ecological battle has pitted Argentina against Uruguay. At the center of the conflict is a factory located on the river that separates the two countries. Argentina says it’s poisoning the river, a charge Uruguay denies. The International Court of Justice at the Hague is expecte do rule on whether Uruguay violated a treaty between the two countries on whether it should have consulted its neighbour before building the factory.
