NYC Revit User Group presentation featuring Jason Dougherty of Microsol Resources. With more and more CM firms using Navisworks to bring 4D to bear as standard process on BIM-enabled projects, the next phase of 5D analysis is already upon us. Autodesk Quantity Take Off (QTO) software is designed to enable cost estimators to easily create comprehensive cost analyses that are synchronized with BIM models being authored in tools like Revit. As AEC professionals have already acknowledged necessary differences between “design” and “construction” BIM’s, this demonstration and discussion of QTO is geared towards helping educate players on both sides of the aisle so that up- and down- stream data exchange can be more beneficial.
