(KATIE SCHINDLER/ SHILOH SENIOR) I can’t believe it's my senior year. I've been playing basketball since I was a seventh grader and last year we went to state. It's been awesome memories for us. (APRIL LARSON/ SHILOH HEAD COACH) She gives a hundred percent effort every time she's on the court. Her work ethic; it's incredible she loves the game. It's like she just lives and breathes the game. ( TIA STREETER/ KX SPORTS) Basketball has been a big part of Katie's life but so has family and her faith...and that's exactly what she needs now more than ever. andamp;quot;What were you thinking when they said its really bad, you have cancer, what were you thinking?andamp;quot; ( KATIE SCHINDLER/ SHILOH SENIOR) That was the hardest part probably. It's like I should be worried about other things but immediately, I'm thinking basketball. (TIA STREETER/ KX SPORTS) Two years ago, Katie had a benign cancerous tumor removed. They thought that might be it; but in October the cancer was again found, (KATIE SCHINDLER/ SHILOH SENIOR) They said everything was fine and then I was looking forward to living my life again. I wasn't too worried about it, and so the second time it's a lot more questions, and not knowing. ( TIA STREETER/ KX SPORTS) The doctors don't know exactly what type of cancer it is, and Katie says the unknown is the hardest part....but they're treating it with chemo, and hoping for the best. Refusing to ask, why me, Katie hasn't left the game she loves. A recent blood clot caused by chemo, will keep Katie off the court, but it won...
