a family on albuquerque’s westside is looking for answers tonight after waking up to a dangerous device on their porch. sharon erickson joins us live from near unser and ladera where a-p-d and the bomb squad are trying to find out who is responsible. sharon? joe, the neighborhood behind me is described as quiet and safe by those who live here. that's why one family says they're in shock... after finding a molotov cocktail on their front porch this morning... the family... who are too afraid to show their faces on camera ... tells us a suspicious man came to their home around six o'clock last night. when they woke up this morning, they fou a jar full of flammable liquid... with an ignition rag coming out of the top. albuquerque police called in the bomb squad, who say it's a dangerous molotov cocktail. "this is not a common occurrence for the city of albuquerque to have a molotov cocktail thrown at your house." "we need to determine- was this just a random act of violence, or was this family actually targeted." extra patrols will be placed around the house... and officers tell us those responsible will face a series of charges. we're continuing to find details in this we're continuing to find details in this investigation... tonight at ten, we'll hear more from the family who says they're afraid to leave their home and worry something like this could happen again.
