Early footage of Camp Blazing Trail showing the clearing of trees, building of the Main Lodge and activities during the first camp season. This unique and private waterfront compound was built in the 1930’s as a private girls camp. In 1955 the Boston YWCA acquired the property and opened "Camp Blazing Trail" in the summer of 1956. The BYWCA operated the camp until 1976 and subsequently sold the property in 1978. Currently For Sale this historic, private compound is located on Walden Pond, in Oxford County, Maine. 25-acres. Approximately 600 feet of waterfront, 500 feet of road frontage and 2000 feet of private roads within the property.
