Most car manufacturers only offer warranties on cars for three to four years, and if you are purchasing a used vehicle that\\\'s a bit older, you need to make sure you are protected. Many manufacturers offer extended warranties, but if you can\\\'t get a good deal from the car maker, purchase one from another company that offer them. Make sure you purchase your warranty from a company with a good name a long history, because, like everything else in the Used Car world, there are a lot of scams out there. But you really can\\\'t afford to drive off the lot with your used car without a decent warranty... you are trying to save money by buying a used car, and you don\\\'t want to see all that money you saved get eaten up by costly car repairs because you don\\\'t have a warranty. Hopefully, you will not have to use your extended warranty much... but driving without one is just asking for trouble. What\\\'s the point in saving money now on a used vehicle if it will end up costing you a bundle in the near future?
