This is video taken just an hour or so after our first baby lovebird hatched! I heard some tiny peeping sounds coming from the nestbox and the Daddy bird excitedly coming in and out of the box which alerted me to this new arrival. This is the third successul clutch from my pair and we are sooo excited to see what develops. This first hatched chick has the tell tale red eyes and light yellow beak without black on it, which tells us that we’ve got another yellow / lutino! Their parents, Momma "Houdini" is a Normal/Green Peach Faced Lovebird and Daddy "Lola" is a Dutch Blue Peach Faced lovebird. So far they have had Normal Green and Yellow Lutino Peach Faced offspring. The four other eggs in this clutch were candled and are all fertile so we are hoping to see more new hatchlings in the next week or so! Stay tuned...
