Cab Calloway plays himself as a man torn between two lovers: his sexy girlfriend Millie (LeGon) and his manager Nettie (James). When Nettie gets Cab a great new job at the Brass Hat Club, Millie becomes insanely jealous from all the new attention Cab gives Nellie. Millie hires gangster Boss Mason (Wiltshire) to kill Cab, who is only too happy to due so as he owns a rival club. At the last minute, Nellie changes her mind and stops the bullet meant for Cab. Who will Cab choose in the end? Filled with numerous first rate songs by Cab Calloway and his orchestra, and featuring an all black cast.
