Easily capture any embedded flash video on a website. It’s easy! No scripts, no plugins (aside from Adobe Flash), no add-ons, no spyware. It's easy. First thing we will do is open a Firefox window and go to a familiar video site and choose a video to play. Once the video has buffered, and your playpoint in the movie is at the end, hit pause. Open up your file browser and browser to your root directory. Now that you are there, open up the /tmp/ directory. Once that is opened, you will see different files and folders in the temporary directory. What you are looking for is the files that start with the world "Flash" and end with a bunch of random letters and words. Select the files and copy them. Paste them to your desktop and rename them whatever you wish, but add ".flv" at the end as the file extension. Now these files are copied to your hard drive forever, and you can play them in your media player!
