In Ali Baba, a poor woodcutter stumbles on thieves' treasure. Included in the booty is an unusual vase, from which a genie springs. When the thieves realize their loot is gone, only the genie can help save Ali Baba. In Sinbad, Sinbad and his wife meet an old man in search of his daughter, whom he says was taken by the evil King Farzoomah. Sinbad regales the man with tales of his adventures, which include saving a young woman.
