As luck would have it this involved walking past/through a golf course. I was already convincing myself ever increasingly large amounts of money could justifiably be spent on a round. As I wandered onto the course to take a closer look before committing to anything the figure was worryingly high. However it was almost a relief that as I walked onto the grass I sunk several inches. The course was soaking wet as it was the end of the wet season and being the fair weathered sportsman I am, I decided to give it a miss and save my money. I carried on walking to Birchang a small town where I was planning to get the bus out to the plantation. After a great lunch of butter raisin bread, wasabi pea's and a granny smith apple all for less than a pound I decided to walk the 4 or 5 km. About an hour later after stunning views I arrived at the plantation factory and visitor center. The plantation factory was great, mostly because of the smell of the tea leaves. After a couple of hours I left and walked back to Birchang, grabbing a taxi from there back to the guesthouse. Went out to dinner with Marcus and met a guy from Singapore who works on oil rigs.
