It is hard to believe that after a year of planning, weeks of preparation, and a full day of packing it was time for me to depart on my journey. I left with my family on Friday Jan. 13th and we headed for the St. Louis Airport where we stayed at the St. Louis Renaissance Airport Hotel so we would not have to wake up as early to catch our 730 flight. . I woke up at 430 that morning and started to get ready for my trip. By 530 we were out of our room and on our way to the airport which was surprisingly busy. The flight departed on time and we landed in Orlando a few minutes early. In Orlando we had an hour and a half layover till our flight to the Bahamas. This fight was delayed due to the weather (Florida was experiencing strong winds). Due to the weather our flight was very bumpy I have never been on a flight this rough before, and I was very happy to be back on solid ground in Nassau. After we went through customs we caught a cab and headed to the Resort. The Atlantis Resort is located on its own island which is called Paradise Island. The property is huge, and beautiful. There are many pools, slides, palm tress, and a white sandy beach. We have spent most of our time exploring the property and looking at the wild life that is on the property.
