Three supporters of the Save Lake Cowal campaign took the journey to the lake on Monday 18 April. Waking up on Tuesday morning on the edge of Lake Cowal to the sounds of birds, water lapping at it’s shores and the constant drone of Barrick's mine, Nat, Damian and Ryan explored the lake by foot and then set off from Forbes in a Cessna to take photos and video from the air. These photos clearly show the stupidity of building a mine in a lake bed.
