Laguna Pueblo police say two people were killed in a Friday morning traffic accident along Interstate 40 west of Albuquerque. State police say just before 9 a.m., a minivan registered in Oregon heading eastbound crossed the median and hit an RV from Texas in westbound lanes head-on. The driver and passenger in the minivan were killed instantly. It is unknown if anyone inside the RV was injured. Westbound I-40 was closed for hours near the Highway 6 exit as crews investigated the crash. The road reopened around 11:30 Friday morning. The identities of the two people killed was not immediately available. State police do not believe drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash.
