In 1991 Gordon Murray and Chris Craft introduced the light weight car, called "The Rocket". Gordon Murray is also the designer of the legendary McLaren F1. This car weight about 370kg. The Rocket is powered by a mid-mounted 1000cc Yamaha engine which drives the rear wheels through a two speed range transaxle, fitted with a limited slip differential which offers the driver the choice of 10 different forward gears and a reverse gear. It has a maximum speed of more than 140 mph and the ability to accelerate from 0-60 in the 4 second bracket. For more information take a look at www.lccrocket.com.
