President Abdelaziz Bouteflika, who is seeking his third term, has promised to create three million jobs if re-elected. But many youths lack faith in their septuagenarian leader. Despite two failed attempts to reach Europe, 28-year-old Sofiane hopes that one day he will make it to the promised land.
