I run my fingers down it, feeling the familiar rough spots that were a scarlet brown color. I brush some fallen snow off, I trace it's other curves, still damaged but not was much as other places. I put a roof over my eyes with my fingers and peer inside. Joe has definitely been in here. I can see a small piece of paper on the driver's seat, and I struggle to read it. It's my address. There's no way Joe could have gotten it without talking to someone who he knew was close to me. Selena still lives in her parents' place, and she knows my mom's phone number, which would make sense because of the phone call I just received before from her. Just the sight of seeing that familiar interior sends my heart beating faster than ever. It brings those lovely memories back of Joe taking me back home from our 'date' at the park. It even brings back the sounds of the rusty old car that I heard some nights, even before I met Joe, when I knew someone lived in that house that everyone thought was abandoned. My throat began to tighten, and I was sure I couldn't speak. Joe has to be inside. I hurriedly walk toward the entrance, afraid if I ran like I wanted to I would look crazy.
