I think I said, hi, okay, no problem, bye. The disruption in my sleep was good though, because it meant I could reach Chris to say hello before he started dress rehearsal back in Virginia. Then I fell blissfully back to sleep for a couple more hours. One hotel "American Breakfast" later, I walked to Victoria harbor to Golden Bauhinia Square. There is a sculpture there that was dedicated when Hong Kong was reunified with China in 1997. It must be a popular spot, because there were vendors offering to take people's pictures of the ideal view of the sculpture and/or the harbor with skyline. I decided to snap my own. Then I went into the nearby convention center to use their facilities, and wondered why every other woman in line was pregnant. Turns out there was a baby expo going on, with funny signs inside with cartoon babies dressed in animal suits. Not sure why I didn't take a picture. My goal after seeing the reunification sculpture was to walk to the central piers and take a ferry over to Lantau island. It seemed simple enough on the map, and I was excited about taking a ferry.
