Every serious disciple of Jesus Christ wants to make an impact with his or her life for the Lord. But how can we live a spiritual life in a secular world? We often find the world system in opposition to the good news of Jesus and sometimes hostile to the truth. Believers living in countries with totalitarian governments and religion find themselves as Jesus said, [sheep among wolves.] Even in America, we often see the media, entertainment and educational institutions ridiculing the Christian faith. Jesus tells us how to live and how to minister effectively in the real world: "Be wise as serpents and harmless as doves." A close look at these two challenges in this message will help to protect ourselves from secular influences and show us the way to impact others for Christ.
