I left the highlands before lunch and by bus got to Kuala Lumpur in the afternoon. It was a rainy day, similarly to my first visit to Malaysia's capital. I left the backpack in the ticket office at the bus station (free of charge, courtesy of the staff) and explored for a few hours the part of town I'd missed out during my first visit. Late evening I took a bus to the airport, where I was to spend the night. It was 5 hours to the check in, so tried to get some sleep, lying on my backpack using small bag as a pillow. Not the best sleeping position, but somehow managed to get a little bit of a sleep. The flight to Kuching was no longer than two hours. Despite the fact I was not crossing any border I had to go through immigration procedure again and my passport got heavier of another Malaysia's stamp. Bus connecting the airport with downtown was no longer in service, so taxi seemed to be the only option. I shared one with three Italian travelers. On the way one of them remembered leaving his camera on the plane, so we returned back. He wasn't lucky, they didn't find it, as the plane already headed back to KL.
