Watch the Introduction of Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger starting here www.youtube.com to see how innovative Apple were at this time, compared to now, when they appear to be resting on their laurels. At least as far as Mac OS X 10.7 Lion is concerned. Anyway, here is a demonstration of the Automator in 10.6 (Snow Leopard). Automator was introduced c. 2004 in Tiger. At the time it was probably more necessary than it is now, and the task that I chose to automate - that of downloading lots of images from a webpage - is a tad flawed these days, as every website appears to have either copyrighted images or some slideshow. And the Automator workflow I made doesn’t work as well with these. But find yourself a pretty basic website, with lots of images to download, import and correct, and Bob's your proverbial aunty!
