This is my showreel as of summer 2011. All effects elements present within this reel were created by me.  My website - www.azhulafeeq.com Shot Breakdown - Shots 1,2,5,6,8 : The Aviatrix: This was my final year major project which was carried out by a team of two of us. My main focus was on the effects elements while helping with the technical aspects. The effects were created in Houdini, which involved creating various assets to help with the tasks. I created all of the effects work and also did any effects related compositing. I also created the rig and was involved with shading,lighting and rendering aspects as well as pipelining. Shot 3 : This is an example of two of the tools created for my final year major (The Aviatrix), for emitting particles along contours and taking colour from texture maps. Shot 4 : This showcases an asset I created for one of my projects at University. It was created in Houdini and enabled for multitude of ways of controlling fracturing. Shot 7 : This was an other project at university. We were given a geo cache in maya which contained the models and animation. The entirety of the effects were created in Houdini which involved creation of an asset that converted point data into volumes which could then be used as fields to drive simulations.
