Over the Easter period "One Community Unified" is proud to present a variety of events dedicated towards community transformation. Building on the success of the activities which occurred last Easter, this non-profit community organisation made up of church representatives, community leaders and local residents, is planning again to make a positive mark in the Pembroke East community. The first goodwill expression that you might expect to see are community members going door-to-door in the Pembroke East community. They will be offering each household a free loaf of bread and an invitation to join in one of the following events: 10th April - starting at 6:30pm there will be a community celebration service at Evening Light Pentecostal Church on Parsons Road. The evening is set to be an exciting mixture of worship, prayer and teaching; specifically celebrating our local community and encouraging each of us to make a positive difference where we live. 22nd April - starting at 10:00am at Victor Scott Primary School field, there will be a Good Friday children’s open-air service followed by hot cross buns and fishcakes and then finishing with a community football match. 23rd April - starting at 1:00pm with a community walk, community members are invited to assemble outside St. Monica's Church or St. Augustine's Church and walk to Victor Scott Primary School whilst being led by lively musical bands.
