The Blue Yeti USB Microphone promises a quick and easy setup and stellar audio quality. And so I went to the effort see just how quickly I could set up with the Yeti. Though I had issues opening the box (likely my fault), it was not too difficult. The user's manual was generally helpful in getting set up, though I did encounter a few issues. Mainly, the Yeti bypassed all audio in my system, and directed it toward its headphone port. That is basically nerd speak for, "The speakers did not work because the sound went to the microphone." Luckily I was able to fix the problem easily, though the manual had nothing to say on the matter. It took me seven minutes to set up the Blue Yeti. The retail price for the Yeti is $150, though you can find it much cheaper than that.
