The conference is sponsored by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) in collaboration with the DHHS Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, American Heart Association, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and Health Resources and Services Administration. This conference targets a variety of health professionals who want to be at the forefront of meeting the challenge of Healthy People 2010 including practicing physicians, internists, nurses, dietitians, health educators, and community health specialists.
